How we started—and why
UneeQ (then called FaceMe) was borne out of a scheme to provide disabled people better access to information, through online human-to-digital-human speech instead of having to physically interact with a computer.
From there, we quickly realized some of the other amazing and one-of-a-kind advantages that only digital humans can deliver.
In mental health, people feel more comfortable talking to a digital human because they know it will never judge them. In medicine, a digital human can be always available to answer more standardized patient questions, allowing under-pressure doctors and nurses more time to spend with patients who need the most human care. In retail, digital humans can give people with disabilities an experience many of us take for granted, by talking about items instead of just showing them on a screen.
And many of these benefits translate into the commercial world, too. Customers may be more likely to ask questions to their digital human bank teller if they’re a bit embarrassed they don’t know the answer.
In any use case, people create emotional connection and bond with digital humans as a human instinct, improving how they interact with the brand. It makes them feel comfortable and looked after.
These are just some of the things that get us out of bed in the morning and motivate us to be the best—to make digital humans a common part of our everyday lives.
