Some digital human innovations are going to change the world. Others are just going to make your life that little bit easier—and that can be as simple as making a cup of coffee.
Bella the digital barista was the brainchild of Kiwi tech company Jade. They approached us with a challenge: can we co-create the world’s first digital human who can take a coffee order and make it, from start to finish, using only the power of conversation.
Of course we were going to say yes!
We gave Jade access to our digital human platform, and worked with Ambit (another smart tech company) who created the NLP. In true Hackathon style, our local retailer Noel Leeming, donated a coffee machine that the team could potentially destroy.
Two weeks latte, the world is a little bit more caffeinated with the introduction of the world’s first digital human barista, who can take your order and serve you up a fresh coffee all using conversational AI.
We welcome other innovative ideas that put CX and digital humans at the heart of a problem. Because if there’s one thing we love in the morning more than a fresh-brewed coffee, it’s a challenge!
